All of our cabins have a bespoke wood-panelled finish inside for a truly authentic feel, and each has its own characterful touches: faux furs and fleeces in Trappers; the Victorian light shades and quilts in Ranchers; and the golden wood and authentic Navajo blankets in Gold Panners.
Light the wood burner, put the kettle on and curl up with a good book. Raid the games cupboard and unwind after a day’s adventures.

Luxurious wood-fired hot tubs
What better way to escape the stresses of everyday life than lying back and staring at the stars, surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside, all from the luxurious seat of your hot tub!
The smell is utterly divine and it feels like a spa with a therapeutic massage from the fantastically quiet, yet powerful, water jets. Let the colour-changing LEDs gently set the ambiance, as you let all of your stresses fade away.
Each of our glamping cabins is equipped with its own private eco-tub and has towel robes for you when getting in and out of the water. We empty the tubs regularly, enabling them to stay chlorine and bromine free, as an added bonus.
Delicious dinners
Each cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen with a four-ring gas hob and oven, wood burner and fridge-freezer. There’s plenty of storage for hungry pioneers too. We like to keep things easy for you, so provide all the cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils and washing up equipment you could possibly need. We also don’t want you to arrive to an empty larder, so give you a basket of necessities and local goodies on arrival – from oils and condiments to local jam, eggs, bread, milk and brownies! What more could you want…

Soft & dreamy
There’s a king-size bed in your cabin, with a Hypnos mattress, luxury wool topper and Egyptian cotton sheets. So stoke up the wood burner, get really snug under our authentic American quilts and blankets, and prepare for one blissful night’s sleep…
Our cabins also work beautifully for small families or three close friends who are happy sharing the same living space. The seats in the dining area transform quickly into a sturdy full size single bed or the table lifts out to create space for a travel cot.
If you have two small children who are happy to ‘top-and-tail’ or one is happy to snuggle up in the king size with you, we are happy for families of four to book a cabin. Just add a note when you book online to let us know including your preferred sleeping arrangements; we’ll include a second snuggle sack if you opt for ‘top-and-tailers’ sharing the single bed!
Relax in comfort
Start the day in comfort in your own luxurious private bathroom. Self-contained within each cabin, each bathroom has a basin, full-sized shower, instant hot and cold water, a flushing loo and all-enveloping fluffy towels.
Chilling on the porch
From delicious al fresco meals at the dining table, to lazy days in one of the custom-made rocking chairs, the cabin porch is the place to catch the morning sun with a cup of coffee, or the sunset with a beer. It’s where you get the best of the views and a feeling of calm.
Pop your feet on the rail and listen to the birds, or pick a few strings on the guitar – porch living is Loose Reins living.
The porch is where you’ll find logs too, so you can kick back round the fire bowl in your private plot or stoke up the woodburner inside.
Adventures & escapades for kids of all ages
There’s so much to explore, from the woods on your doorstep to the local cycle trails and hill walks. Hold a tree climbing competition, start a scavenger hunt, build a forest den or look out for badgers in the evening light. Capture a hillfort or make friends with Butch and Sundance, our pygmy goats. Try lassoing the model bull, collect your free-range eggs from the chickens. See what you can find on a nature trail.
Fun & games
We have Wifi at Loose Reins but the signal can be patchy in the cabins. There aren’t many downsides to having so much green space but the distance from the Office is a bit of a stretch for the wireless connection. The good news is that mobile data reception is usually pretty good so we hope you’ll be able to connect with anything important. If you like to watch films in the evening we recommend downloading a few before you come.
We keep a box of board games in each cabin, including Monopoly, Snakes and Ladders, Ludo, Scrabble and a pack of cards. Snapchat might be great, but you can’t beat the feeling of Dad landing on Mayfair when you’ve just put up that hotel…
